By booking cleaning services with A1 Maids LLC, you agree to these terms and conditions. Please read carefully before scheduling your service.
Acceptance of Terms
When you book or schedule professional cleaning services from A1 Maids, you acknowledge that you’ve read, understood, and agree to comply with all terms outlined in this agreement. These terms, together with your service confirmation and cleaning schedule, constitute the complete agreement between us.
Services We Provide
A1 Maids offers residential and commercial cleaning services throughout Northern Virginia, including:
- Recurring cleaning (weekly, biweekly, monthly)
- Deep cleaning
- Move-in/move-out cleaning
- Office and commercial cleaning
- Specialized services (bathroom, window cleaning)
Service Specifications: Services are performed according to our standard cleaning checklists. If you need services not listed in our standard offerings, please discuss with us before booking, as additional charges may apply.
Services We Don’t Provide: We don’t offer plumbing, handyman work, moving services, extermination, professional floor refinishing, or upholstery cleaning.
Pricing & Payment
Payment Terms: Payment is due when you book your service. We accept all major credit cards, checks, and cash. Credit card information is required to guarantee all appointments.
Pricing: Prices are based on your accurate description of your property’s size, condition, and cleaning needs. If we arrive and find the condition different from what you described, we reserve the right to adjust the price or limit service to the paid time period.
Price Adjustments: We may adjust rates with advance notice. Rates for recurring maintenance cleanings are guaranteed for 12 months from your service start date. If service is discontinued and reinstated after 3+ months, original rates aren’t guaranteed.
Additional Services: Any extra work requested beyond the original scope will be quoted separately and added to your invoice.
Scheduling & Cancellations
Cancellation Policy: We require at least 24 hours’ notice (excluding weekends and holidays) to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a $70 fee.
Recurring Services: For weekly and biweekly recurring services, your first cleaning is billed as a one-time deep clean at full price. Subsequent cleanings are billed at the discounted recurring rate.
Service Discontinuation: You can cancel recurring service anytime with no penalty, provided you give proper notice for scheduled appointments. If you cancel recurring service after only the first cleaning, the one-time cleaning rate applies.
Missed Appointments: If no one is available to provide access at the scheduled time and you didn’t notify us in advance, a 50% lock-out fee of the scheduled cleaning will be charged.
Your Responsibilities
Access to Property: You must provide access to your property at the scheduled time. If you don’t provide access and didn’t notify us at least 24 hours in advance, cancellation fees apply.
Secure Environment: You’re responsible for securing valuables and fragile items. We’re not responsible for any loss or damage to items that weren’t properly secured.
Pets: Please secure pets in a safe area away from cleaning activities. If a pet poses a risk to our cleaning professionals, we reserve the right to reschedule or cancel service.
Clutter & Pre-Cleaning: To maximize cleaning efficiency, please pick up clutter, toys, and personal items before we arrive. We clean surfaces but don’t organize or put away items.
Hazardous Conditions: You must inform us of any hazardous conditions including pest infestations (cockroaches, bedbugs, fleas), animal infestations, excessive mold, human waste, blood, bodily fluids, hoarding conditions, or other dangerous situations. We reserve the right to refuse service or stop cleaning immediately if hazardous conditions are discovered, and a 50% lock-out fee will apply.
Cleaning Materials & Equipment
Our Supplies: A1 Maids provides all necessary cleaning materials and equipment unless you request otherwise.
Your Supplies: If you want us to use your cleaning products or equipment, they must be safe, in working order, and not require special skills to operate. We can’t guarantee results when using client-provided products and equipment, and we can’t accept liability for any issues arising from their use.
Satisfaction Guarantee
Quality Commitment: We stand behind the quality of our work. If you’re not satisfied with any area included in the scope of work, please contact us within 24 hours of service completion.
Re-Clean Policy: If you report a concern within 24 hours, we’ll return by the end of the next business day to re-clean the problem area at no additional charge.
Limitations: Our satisfaction guarantee applies only to recurring clients (weekly, biweekly, or monthly service). The guarantee doesn’t apply when client-provided products or equipment are used.
Liability & Insurance
Insurance Coverage: A1 Maids maintains liability insurance to protect against damage caused by our negligence during normal cleaning operations.
Limitation of Liability: Our liability is limited to the cost of the cleaning service provided. We’re not liable for:
- Pre-existing damage to property
- Damage to items not properly secured by you
- Damage from client-provided products or equipment
- Loss of items not reported to us before service
- Damage occurring more than 24 hours after service completion
Damage Claims: Any damage claims must be reported within 24 hours of service completion. Claims reported after this period can’t be accepted.
Non-Solicitation
Direct Employment: You agree not to directly hire or solicit any A1 Maids employee or contractor during their employment with us and for 12 months after their employment ends.
Referral Fee: If you wish to hire an A1 Maids employee or contractor directly, you must obtain our written consent, and a referral fee equivalent to 12 months of standard service fees will apply.
Privacy & Confidentiality
Confidentiality: Our team members respect your privacy and maintain confidentiality regarding your property and personal information.
Data Protection: Your information is securely stored and used only for service delivery and communication. We don’t sell or share your information with third parties except as required by law.
Weather & Emergencies
Inclement Weather: In cases of severe weather or emergencies that prevent safe travel, we may need to reschedule appointments. We’ll contact you as soon as possible to arrange an alternative date.
No Cancellation Fee: Cancellation fees don’t apply when rescheduling is due to weather emergencies or circumstances beyond either party’s control.
Modifications to Terms
A1 Maids reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services after changes means you accept the modified terms.
Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Any disputes from this agreement shall be resolved in Virginia courts.
Severability
If any provision of this agreement is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
